About me...
I’m the second youngest of thirteen children. I grew up in the small town of Kilmore, Victoria, Australia, and studied English and History at the University of Melbourne. Via India and London, I came to Glasgow University where I completed a Diploma and Masters in Social Work. I worked as a criminal justice social worker for ten years, most recently in HMP Barlinnie, where I helped prepare serious offenders for release. I’m married to screenwriter Sergio Casci, and we have two children, Anna and Joe.
