What not to read in prison

I love being busy, and the last eight weeks have been blissful. I’ve had two major German TV shows shoot me in similarly bizarre locations - a derelict amusement park in Germany, and Barlinnie Prison, Glasgow. Reading to the prisoners was the best reading experience I’ve ever had. First question: “How much do you earn?” Biggest faux pas: Choosing a passage at random and reading a prison rape scene.

I’ve had a review for The Donor already – in Red Magazine. I am trying to stop myself from believing that this book is the one.

Letzte Beichte made it onto the bestseller list in Germany last week. Yippee! Got a bit addicted to amazon.de as the rankings were the best I'd ever experienced.

And my husband’s movie premiere (The Caller) was last night at the Edinburgh Film Festival. What a blast. Gave me shivers. My daughter’s friends clung onto each other’s hands the whole way through.  Great interview with him here – says screenwriting is easier than novel writing. I disagree!

I’ll be updating my events shortly – lots coming up.
